WHO AM I?
My name's Al Natrins - self-defence instructor, personal trainer, and nutrition coach with 16 years experience. I run Resilience, a vibrant and dynamic self defence and fitness coaching service based in Kings Heath, Birmingham. ​​
I am non-macho, LGBTQ+ inclusive, neurodivergent supportive, and body positive. I am a passionate coach and I offer a safe, supportive space for anyone worried about fitting in within a mainstream training environment.​​

WHAT DO I DO?
I help people feel safe in their bodies, connected to themselves, and powerful in their lives.

I run inclusive group self-defence classes in Kings Heath, plus practical workshops for workplaces and education across Birmingham and the Midlands. I also offer bespoke 1:1 and small-group coaching.
​
Our physical training is rooted in Krav Maga (practical skills for real-life situations), and my wider coaching blends self-defence with functional fitness, nutrition, and mindset.

Self-defence: awareness, boundaries, de-escalation, striking, grabs, ground defence, weapon threats, protecting others

Functional fitness: strength, stamina, mobility for everyday capability

Nutrition & wellbeing: fuel + stress regulation without rigid diets or burnout

Mindset & confidence: calm under pressure, clear decisions, real confidence
